Dear Havasu Preparatory Academy Families, There is no higher priority than the safety and health of our students. During this extraordinary time, we demonstrate this through our enhanced cleaning protocols, physical distancing, face-covering policies, and hand sanitation practices. We also demonstrate this through prompt communication with the Mohave County Health Department, which is why I am writing to you. The Mohave County Health Department dashboard has indicated that our zip code has been identified as a substantial risk area. Substantial risk means we have more than 100 cases OR greater than 10% positivity in the zip code that we serve at Havasu Preparatory Academy. Based on this information, if our school is in a substantial risk category for two weeks in a row, the dashboard recommends that we return to virtual learning. We are at the point in time where we have been in substantial risk for two weeks and will return to virtual classes only beginning Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Without question, our community is facing challenging times. But working together, I know we will overcome these challenges and come out stronger than ever before. I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. If you are in need of on site services for your child(ren), please click here. In This Together, Dana Mills School Leader
