Fourth grade students took a field trip to ASU Thursday, December 3, 2015. Students had the opportunity to visit and tour the Havasu campus where they saw the library, classrooms, computer and science labs, recreational rooms, gym and even got to talk to current students and teachers while in class. Students took their own notebooks with questions about the colleges admission requirements, tuition, scholarships, programs of study and extra activities. Students learned why ASU in Lake Havasu is a good option for their future endeavors. To end the field trip, students got to play game which taught them about good and choices now, before and during college can either get you ahead or put you behind. GO ASU!
This year Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Mayberry's third grade classes reached out to our school community to ask for donations for our local food bank. In just under a week, our caring families donated over 600 pounds of food. Way to go HPA, keep up the caring spirit through the holiday season!
The third grades classes are now asking families to send in a donation for Toys for Tots. We have a collection bin in the front office. Please send all donations in by Wednesday, December 16th. |
