Please be considerate of our whole school community when choosing a costume and adhere to the following guidelines:
In terms of bringing food/treats to school, please talk directly with the classroom teacher about his/her preference. All goodies must be store bought and sealed in the original packaging. For those students and families who go trick-or-treating, we hope you have fun and we remind you to be safe. Halloween candy is tasty but we respectfully ask that it not be sent to school. Students need healthy and nutritious snacks in order to learn to their fullest potential. Donate your candy - HPA will be collecting candy on Thursday and Friday, after Halloween, to send to our troops serving overseas. Wednesday, October 17th, wear a college shirt to school or your class's college colors. Students who do not want to participate must be in uniform.
This past Saturday we were fortunate to have community members give our school a little love. Thank you to Calvary for organizing such a wonderful event. We had families come out and paint, bury some irrigation line, and stain a few tables. Thank you to the Lin family for providing lunch afterwards. We appreciate everyone that gave up their Saturday morning to help HPA look its best. |
