Read our guest post from Mrs. Whitehouse to find out about her guest speaker program with her class! “Everybody Works” The students had so much fun learning how to make hot dog muffins from start to finish. They learned how to follow a recipe, mix batter, fill muffin liners, oven safety, how long something takes to cook, how to follow instructions, and how “yummy” the muffins turned out! Ms. Candice explained to the students that she attended Mohave Community College and earned a degree in Culinary and Hospitality Management. She never gave up on her dreams and now is the Proud owner of 360 Deli!! What a Great Success!! Thank you, Ms. Candice!

Lake Havasu Avenue, STE M, on Wednesday, September 20th between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m.

We are hoping to have 200 participants! Please help HPA PTSO meet the goal! chipotle_2.pdf Mrs. Rhonda Gates is in her second year of teaching at Havasu Preparatory Academy. She joined HPA as a student teacher during the 2015-2016 as a student teacher, and completed her teaching with Mrs. Dana Mills. Mrs. Gates is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Mrs. Gates has four children, two boys and two girls. Her two youngest children, Chayse and Jaxyn attend HPA, and her two older children have graduated from high school. Mrs. Gates’ life- long dream was to become an educator, and we are so pleased to have her as part of our HPA team! Mrs. Gates strives to build a strong foundation for her students, and encourage them to have a love of learning.

Please have your student(s) bring in BOX TOPS for Education! Our school will receive .10 for each BOX TOP submitted by PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization). In the past, this has amounted to $750 for annual submission. This has big fundraising potential, with a small amount of work. The class with the most BOX TOPS for the month will be announced during morning announcements and that class will earn a FREE DRESS DAY! Please note the expiration dates on the box tops.
