As another school-year comes to a close, the PTSO wants to thank the HPA community for all of your effort and support throughout the year. As most of you know, we had an ambitious goal to raise money for more playground shade and for a water-bottle refill station for the students. The good news is that the water-bottle refill station has been delivered and installation is in process! We have also raised more than $8K, most of which will go towards the playground shade project…almost there. We have a lot on the agenda as we wrap up the school year:
- PTSO will be selling hot dogs on April 28th for a $1 each and juice pouches for $.50 each. (If you have some time on Friday morning, please email Allison P. to volunteer @ apaolig3@gmaildotcom.
- May 1- 5 is Teacher Appreciation week, the board has planned a meal each day of the week for the teachers and we have put together a schedule of little things the kids can do each day to show their appreciation.
- The HPA Family Picnic in the Park is May 6th at Jack Hardie Park from 12pm-2pm. (If you can volunteer to set up or clean up, please email Allison P. @ apaolig3@gmaildotcom. Lunch will be served, but feel free to bring a store-bought dessert for sharing.
If you have some time to share, we would love to have more parental participation for the 2017-2018 school year. Please consider getting involved; the more help we have, the more we can do for the teachers and students!
Best wishes for a wonderful summer,
