This morning our HPA Hawks viewed The NED Show. The NED Show is a character education program that centers around 3 important messages that have a life long relevance:
**Never give up **Encourage others **Do your best Below you will find a link to some parent resources.
HPA was able to get The NED Show for free because we are hosting a Pay-It-Forward sale. When you purchase a NED item, you help send the assembly to the next school. Yo-Yos or "NED Swag" will be available for purchase next week before school from Mr. Foster. Yo-Yos are $8, $10, and $15. Students may also purchase replacement string ($4) or a Yo-Yo holster ($5).

What an exciting after school field trip for the 1st through 4th graders in Patriotic Club. Havasu Preparatory Academy Patriotic Club met at the City Council Chambers on Thursday after school for about an hour. They were greeted by Mayor Nexsen, Vice Mayor Callahan, and Council Members Sheehy and LIn. Mayor Nexsen shared what City Council is responsible for and how they operate. Students found out that is is an election year, but they are not old enough to run for council. Students asked a variety of questions wanting to know what the council members do for a living or how you get to be mayor. A great big Thank You to the City Council Members that were able to be a part of this learning experience.
